Sourcing
IN-SOURCING & OUT-SOURCING

EXAMPLE: Master data must be available and accessible. A comprehensive "deep dive" into relevant aspects of the supply chain will be done with key stakeholders. A compilation representing the "as-is" situation will be presented.

EXAMPLE: Based on the "as-is" situation and the outlined future state, the desired scenario(s) will be developed by way of a dynamic predictive model. A recommendation will be made based on the outcome of the scenarios.

EXAMPLE: The relevant commodity or supplier strategy must be in place, to provide the adequate goals and guidance in negotiating with the suppliers. An action plan will be developed to realise the new portfolio by removing non-value-adding products and suppliers. The outcomes of the negotiation will be documented in the contract and relevant Key Performance Indicators will be agreed in the contract to follow through the supply after the contract is in place.

STRATEGY & BUSINESS CASES

EXAMPLE: Is ownership of asset core business? The answer to this question will lead the way to best manage the asset. Based on ROI or ROCE, a feasibility study and a recommendation will be made on whether to in-source or outsource the ownership and/or the management of the assets. An implementation plan with follow through indicators will be developed.

EXAMPLE: Data on the product supply chain must be available and accessible. An analysis will be carried out to determine the profitability of each product (group) and key Performance Indicators (KPIs). Relevant scenarios will be developed to build a future state also based on profitability and an improvement of the KPIs.

EXAMPLE: The parameters and data on the supply chain must be documented and relevant subject matters available. Following a current situation analysis, a base case will be established for benchmarking purposes. Benchmarking with peers, new processes and new technologies will help map the future state. A dynamic predictive model will help define the performance of a future supply chain against business objectives. A recommendation will be made.
