Less than 10% of products generated more than 80% of revenue in the region, I identified non-performing products, and defined the rules to rationalise or remove them. Using supply chain turn-over data and advice from local stakeholders, I categorised all products into categories from “preferred” to “for deletion”. The new product categories and associated rules enabled subsidiaries in Europe to begin optimising their product portfolio.
